What are role-based permissions?

Each team member's role has unique permissions within the platform. Look at the table below to find what each role has access to. You can contact your company's Constrafor Admin to have your role changed.

* = project-specific access

  • Contract Admins are used to override workflow rules.
    • If there is a workflow implemented in a contract and one of the users in the workflow is unable to complete their task (left the company, OOO, etc.), the Contract Admin can step in and complete what is needed. This includes providing a signature. For more information on Contract Admins, check out this article.
  • Differences between Project Manager and Project Admin
    • The difference between these two roles is their relationship to a project. Project Managers will only see projects and their related files for projects that a Project Admin or Admin has added them to. If a Project Manager has not been added to any project, they will not see any related files or information and they will not receive notifications.
    • Also, Project Managers have a Read Only access to projects. Project Admins have full access which includes making changes to a project and adding Project Managers.
    • Project Managers have no access to the Prequal module and Read Only for the Diversity module. If you are using our Prequal and/or Diversity modules and you want your Project Managers involved, we recommend making them Project Admins.
