How do I change a counterpart on a contract?

If you need to change or add a counterpart, you can do so at any time before the contract is signed by either party. Note: you can only add multiple counterparts as long as they are in the same company. You cannot mix companies.

If the contract is in Draft status:

Click on the contracts module at the top of the screen and click on the three dots next to the Draft button.

Select Edit from the menu that appears.

The editing box will appear for this specific contract. Scroll down to the bottom of the box and click the 'x' on the counterpart that currently exists.

From there, you can click into the Counterpart company box and type in the email address of the desired counterpart. Click Save when you are done.

 

If the contract is in Sent status:

If the contract has already been sent to the subcontractor, you can only change the email contact(s) it has been sent to. You cannot change the company it's been sent to. If you need to change the company, please contact Constrafor support.

Open the contract you'd like to add an additional counterpart to. Then click on the three dots in the upper right corner. From the menu that appears, click Edit counterpart.

 

Use the checkboxes to select who should or shouldn't be the recipients of this contract. If the email address of the desired contact does not appear, type their email address into the box and click the + sign. This will send the new counterpart 2 emails: one to join Constrafor and one to receive the contract.
