Crossing the Chasm:
Women, Technology & the Future of AEC
This webinar will explore the interdependencies between two critical gaps the AEC industry must close: the gender gap and the technology adoption gap. From pre-construction to fieldwork, we will investigate the relationship between women and technology and why closing these gaps is crucial for contractors looking to improve efficiency, workforce retention, and leadership development. With labor shortages and leadership disparities affecting the industry, women remain underrepresented—especially in decision-making roles and on jobsites. At the same time, technology adoption is reshaping construction, but are women embracing it at the same pace as their male counterparts?
We’ll discuss the impact of tech adoption in the field and back office, and why empowering women to be early adopters benefits the entire industry. Technology isn’t just a tool—it’s an opportunity to increase earning potential, improve work-life balance, and create new pathways to leadership. When women thrive in construction, GCs and subs gain stronger teams, better productivity, and a more innovative workforce. Can embracing technology help more women advance in construction, and how can GCs and subs lead the charge?
